Northwest Landing House

The Northwest Landing House project is one of our earliest custom home designs, and it stands as a testament to our commitment to client satisfaction. The homeowners wanted a traditional Shingle style home with modern amenities and a roof deck to take advantage of the surrounding views. As the project progressed, we knew the roof deck was a key feature, so we went the extra mile—literally—by climbing a tree to capture photos of the potential views the clients could expect. This personal investment in the client’s vision was crucial to the project’s success. The home is a beautiful blend of traditional architecture with modern elements, providing expansive spaces for family living while offering cozy nooks for privacy and reflection. The Shingle style architecture is complemented by the roof deck, which adds a unique and functional touch to the home.
The Northwest Landing House project marked one of ZTC Architecture’s earliest and most exciting collaborations. The homeowners wanted a classic Shingle-style home with a custom roof deck that would allow them to take full advantage of the breathtaking harbor views. To ensure the deck’s location would provide the best vantage point, Zac himself climbed a tree on the property to photograph potential sightlines.
The design incorporated classic Shingle-style elements, with steep rooflines and weather-resistant materials, while introducing modern features like large windows and open spaces to bring in natural light. The roof deck became a defining feature of the home, offering the family a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy the stunning views of the harbor.
At ZTC Architecture, we excel in custom home design that marries traditional architectural styles with personalized, modern touches. The Northwest Landing House showcases how we balance beauty and functionality in every project.
