The White Oak project was a unique opportunity for us to design a home deeply inspired by traditional American architecture, as requested by the clients who had been inspired by a special edition of LIFE magazine. The goal was to create a residence that encapsulated the rich history of American architectural styles while incorporating the modern features that make a home comfortable and functional today. We approached this project with a focus on maintaining the authenticity of classic American designs, blending elements from colonial, Georgian, and shingle styles. Through our collaborative process, we integrated traditional design elements with modern layouts, ensuring a smooth flow throughout the house. Our attention to detail, particularly in the use of materials and the architectural visualizations, allowed us to craft a home that feels timeless, yet current. This custom home was designed to stand out, with every corner reflecting the client’s love for historical architecture while ensuring the property offers all the amenities and comfort required for contemporary living.
